In 2023 I have met the then 77 years old Herzliya based musician Mike Van Kool. Mike has written over 1200 Songs, and he was performing them, amongst cover songs, on a daily basis in Tel Aviv or his hometown Herzliya. Mike Van Kool was a self described One Man Orchestra, an incredibly charming character and a truly gifted musician and manic writer of lyrics. After a personal Tragedy many years ago, he lived on the streets for about 4 years. As he stated, he had never been homeless, just without a flat. He managed to find his way back to getting a flat, recording and playing music everyday.
